An Angel in Disguise

I am glad that I was able to get in touch with Irene and clear things up about my teaching job application. She is currently teaching high school now in Baltimore, Maryland. She's a good friend of mine with a doctor's degree yet she is very humble. I'm so glad she is always around to give me advise. She told me that I need to get my applcation for my certificate in the school district where I am going to apply which is true. I have actually researched about that online but I just needed the go signal from somebody who had the experience. Thank God for sending me an angel in disguise.

Somebody help me...

Getting a government job here is no easy task. A new place with no friends to guide you felt like you're in a maze alone. I wanted to start teaching but there too many steps to take before getting it. Some friends are in another state paid an arm and leg to be able to go here. and lto let someone process their papers for them. And so I searched on the internet for that. My transcript was finally evaluated because their grading system here starts with 4 and the grading system there is the opposite. I need to go get a certificate but I don't really have any idea which certificate I should get. I have seen that there are a lot of certificates we can get here. My goodness I wish and pray someone can advise me on what to do. After that I need to get mantoux test, sagem morpho which is some kind of finger printing, criminal background check and the list goes on forever.

Welcome To My Nipa Hut

Every single thing related to art appeals me. Loving art as much, I designed my home built in the Philippines. We typically call it a nipa hut. It is rather simple but comfortable enough to live. It has two rooms and a basement where my kids play. I have collected different kinds of orchids and Gumamela flowers and all sorts of ornamentals to beautify our nipa hut. Beside the hut is a gazebo where you can relax and sip coffee or drink coconut water. A fish pond and a garden surrounds the gazebo. I have placed my the rest of my orchid collection beside the house too. I invited my friends here. I hope one day you can come and visit too. You will always be welcomed!

Communication

In a conversation, when one talks, somebody should listen so that one becomes a receiver and the other the sender and the flow of communication goes on. But what will you do when I stop talking? People misinterpret other when somebody stops talking. Sometimes some we don't understand that communication doesn't only mean talking. The important thing in communication is the content or the message itself. Can you relay the real message without deleting or adding anything to it? Listening is important yes but you have to observe a person's gestures too because it is part of the sender's way of communicating to you. So what does it mean when I stop talking? Go figure.

Driving...

My first time driving here in New Jersey was when we had to move to our new home from Summerfield Suite Hotel. Terry has his own car so it would be hard if he would drive two of them at the same time, that would be impossible. The night before he told that I'm gonna drive I was a bit nervous and I couldn't even sleep thinking about it. Why not? I felt scared that I would be driving in route 73 which is pretty much a highway of fast cars. Plus, I have not used the car for more than a month. Gosh! Isn't that scary? Anyhow I drove the next day even if I have not slept well. I woke up early the next day and hit the rode. the kids were asking if we were having a race with their dad. We went to the new house to bring some stuff and move back and forth to the hotel at least twice. The kids noticed that the second time we went to the house their dad was not following us anymore. I was a little nervous but I think it was fine.

Farmer's Market

We went out to check out how Berlin farmer's market looked like. Boy! It was a big one. The kids complained of walking around. There are many things to buy that are really very cheap. You are like walking at a dollar store but with so so many things to choose from. We saw fruits, vegetables, furnitures, ornamental plants, yard sale stuff and many more, my goodness, its a 'name it' 'they have it' place. Nobody beats their price too, its really very cheap. Looks like a pretty nice place for a frugal spender. Take a look again because you will forget being thrifty with so many things to buy at a good price. Truly unbeatable! Even overwhelming! We bought fruits and vegetables and binocular toys for the kids. It was a bit far from the house but at least it was worth the experience. If you ask me if I'm gonna go there again? Definitely!
